The first step to ensure that your presence on the Web is a lasting one, is to design a Web site that people want to not only explore, but revisit. We start by determining the overall purpose for your Web site.

Once this is determined, we can start asking specific questions to plan the design, layout, and menu structure. The Process

You will be involved in the process through each step. If you currently have a Web site that needs a redesign, we'll begin by considering the look of your current site and revise it to reflect a fresh, new look.

If this is a new Web site, we'll talk to you about your business to get an understanding of your company and image you want to portray. For example, this could include a continued color scheme or style from your business cards or and letterhead, and utilize your company logo. We can also design a completely new look for your business tying together Web site, logo, and business materials.

Once a design is approved, we'll proceed finish the graphics, construct the pages, and upload them to a development site for your review and our testing. We test on multiple browsers and platforms; Mac, Windows, and Linux.

We also fully optimize the Web site for search engines and indexes during the building process. This is an extra feature we offer as part of our standard Web site package.

All copy and photographs needs to be received before actual site construction starts. Writing for the Internet is different then writing for print. Clicking here will provide some basic copywriting guidelines, suggestions, and mistakes. If you choose to have x-SITE-d do the copywriting and/or editing, you must approve the copy previous to the site being built.

Important Info

We don't use templates. Ever. Each Web site is designed for that specific client. It's visually attractive, easy to navigate, and dial-up friendly. The majority of people are still on dial-up, not broadband.

We will not guarantee, or be liable for any email or on-submit forms that the client insists be setup using an AOL, Yahoo or Hotmail account.

Our Web sites are built to run natively on Unix - Linux servers.  We do not use or advise using IIS (Windows) servers due to ongoing security issues.
